This is one of our favorite tour experiences in Laos. Not only do you get to stay in the beautiful and serene Luang Prabang for three nights, cycling its picturesque streets, visiting fantastic caves, swimming in jungle waterfalls, and interacting with elephants, you will also spend two nights living with a village family in a traditional village on the Seuang River.

Exclusive to Buffalo Tours, the Seuang River Experience is a sustainable community tourism project set up to provide income to twelve villages in the region, as well as to encourage cultural exchange and interaction. You’ll stay in the simple home of your host family, experiencing their daily life and even cooking meals with them. Build a bamboo raft and float downriver. Visit a local school and participate in games arranged by the village and our staff. At the end of your stay, experience a special “Baci” blessing ceremony by the villagers.
