Vietnam abounds in accommodations, both western and Vietnamese style. They suit all taste and every budget. You can choose to stay in a luxurious, big city downtown hotel, check into a resort to soothe mind, body and soul, coast into a cozy guesthouse, or experience a remote lodge where environment is taken into account. But how to find a hotel that corresponds to the reality when you arrive? Look up the hotel's pictures on its website? Yes, you should do that. But do you think that is enough? No. It's certainly not enough as the pictures are always far from the reality. Our hotel pages are written on the purpose of providing you the reality of hotels in Vietnam - warts and all. The information is either provided by hotels or collected from their websites. There is also our brief comment in each page. The comment is compiled using our first hand knowledge of hotels we have inspected or feedback from our customers. Our hotels are classified into five categories: luxury, first class, deluxe, superior and mid-range according to the quality of the rooms, service, food, facilities and location. :> Luxury The most extraordinarily unique five star hotels, the "'crème de la crème' of Viet Nam accommodation. The small group of Vietnam hotels that can truly be described as "luxurious" including Sofitel Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, Furama Resort in Danang, Six Senses Hideaway (Evason Hideaway) in Nha Trang, Ana Mandara Villas in Dalat, Park Hyatt and Sheraton Hotel in Saigon. :> First - Class The finest Vietnam hotels that provide all the facilities and amenities that you would rightfully expect at any world-class hotel. :> Deluxe Only one step down from the first class category. They're high quality four and five star hotels. :> Superior The finest three or four - star hotels offers good service and a range of facilities. :> Mid - Range A list a three-star rating hotels unless it's in an area where accommodation is limitted. They provide good services and rooms have it all - worth your money! Besides the star rated hotels, there is also a list of hotels at local standard. These are the best available accommodation in areas where hotels of a higher standard are limited or nonexistent, or accommodation in National Parks. Some of hotels are considered as "unique". Our "unique" hotels are ones with designer décor and impeccable service. They bring to their guests a warm atmosphere to stay and experience something different. Each hotel is quite individual in style and you're guaranteed to never come across the same one elsewhere. We are doing out of our way to complete the hotel section. Our desire is to list in here all of hotels in Vietnam from the oldest to the newest, hotels in the modern cities and in the remote areas. If you find any that we missed, please let us know.
