The Sofitel Plaza Hanoi towers over the southern end of West Lake, which about a five-minute taxi ride from downtown Hanoi. Its size and distance from the city centre may be something of a deterrent, but the quality of the facilities and service compensates for the short journey. All rooms are with good views as the building is striking – twenty storeys zigzag down the façade. The Sofitel Plaza hotel has 297 rooms and 25 suites. Pool Garden Café located next to the swimming pool, offers you healthy snacks and drinks in a relaxing alfresco setting. Summit Lounge is an ideal choice for the evening with nightly live band entertainment. It is famous for the "best view in Hanoi". Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Song Hong Bar is the place for relaxing with a coffee or cocktail in a comfortable setting. Special flavoured tea and snack menu available. Live piano music in the evening.
