1/Hotel Overview
Sofitel Metropole hotel is a medium-rise colonial building located in the heart of the city centre about a five-minute walk to Hoan Kiem Lake. The Metropole has 232 luxury guest rooms and Suites, both in the original Metropole Wing and the new Opera Wing, meticulously designed in colonial style.

The original 'Metropole' wing has many period features in its rooms and public areas. All rooms are in medium size with wood floors, cane furniture, classic fixtures, and high ceilings.

The newer 'Opera' wing opened some years ago - the room decor and facilities are
more modern but lack the period character of the original building. Rooms are more spacious. Mordern bathrooms are large and have little touches like wood-frame mirrors, fresh flowers, and a fine line of in-house products.

The health club with sauna and massage is superb and has a good street view. The pool is small, but the adjoining Bamboo lounge is an oasis of calm in the city center. La Beaulieu restaurant, a long time favourite venue for fine dining and official functions in the city, continues to serve up fine French food and wines for which it has earned its reputation for excellence since the turn of the century.

Spices Garden restaurant offers superb Vietnamese cuisine, with three private dining rooms and an attactive terrace outlook. Met' Pub is one of the city's most popular bars, with live music, great food and more than forty different beers, spirits and imported whiskies to choose from. The Metropole also offers cooking classes.
