This nine-day tour of Vietnam’s central coastal area includes four World Heritage areas and the DMZ (the De-Militarized Zone – the epicentre of the American war).

You can book the programme as it is, ask us to expand or shorten it, or make as many changes as you wish. Our unique ‘tailor-made’ tour design service has no limit on the number of changes you request and no charge for making them!

:> Day 1: Hue Arrival (D)
Arrive at the airport in Hue, you will be greeted by your guide and driven to the city centre. After checking in your hotel, you’ll depart to visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue and the Dong Ba market. In the evening, you’ll enjoy dinner at a garden house restaurant. Your overnight will be in Hue.

:> Day 2: Hue City Tour (B/L)
Your morning will be started by a cruise along Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and the Royal Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the tombs of Emperor Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. From there, you will return to Hue to visit one of city’s Garden Houses, a unique feature of Hue. Your overnight will be in Hue.

:> Day 3: Hue – DMZ – Dong Hoi (B/L)
Today you will visit the wartime “De-militarised Zone”, better known as the DMZ. Our guide and driver will meet you at your hotel at seven o’clock to drive north to Quang Tri province. Your visit will include the battle sites of Khe Sanh Base, Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River, as well as the Old Citadel of Quang Tri and the Vinh Moc Tunnels. You will also visit Van Kieu, an ethnic minority village. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to Dong Hoi for overnight.

Hue DMZ Dong Hoi

:> Day 4: Dong Hoi – Phong Nha – Ke Bang (B)
After breakfast, your guide will take you to Phong Nha. Upon arrival, you’ll cruise up to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The park has some beautiful limestone formations, grottoes and caves and forest. It also contains the largest primeval forest in Vietnam and the biggest limestone mountain range on the planet. The most impressive cave - Phong Nha cave is probably the most beautiful with many fascinating rock formations with imaginative names such as Fairy Caves, Royal Court and Buddha. Phong Nha also boasts underground rivers, large caverns and passageways and broad pristine sandbanks. You’ll return to Dong Hoi for lunch and be free for relaxing. Your overnight will be in Dong Hoi.

:> Day 5: Dong Hoi – Hoi An (B)
In the morning, you will drive to Hoi An. Arriving in Danang, you will visit Lang Co Beach, Marble Mountain and Cham Museum before heading for Hoi An. You will visit the anciant town of Hoi An and then check in to your hotel. Free for the remainder time of the day. Your overnight will be in Hoi An.

:> Day 6: Hoi An – My Son Sanctuary – Hoi An (B)
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel to take you to the World Heritage My Son Sanctuary, 40km southwest of Hoi An. Located in a lush valley, My Son was a capital and religious center of Cham people, now remaining with red brick towers and sanctuaries. When you return, the rest of the day will be free. You will spend the night in Hoi An.

:> Day 7 to day 8: Hoi An free (B)
You will be free for strolling in the town, lazing on the beach, or whatever takes your fancy!!!

:> Day 9: Hoi An - Ho Chi Minh City/Hanoi departure (B)
You will fly to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City today in a good time to connect to your departure flight.
