 American Protestant missionaries began going to Vietnam at the end of the First World War. Their influence has been limited until recently when it has been greatly expanded. It is estimated that there are over 400,000 Protestants in the country.

Now most Protestants live in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. There is also a Protestant Church in Hang Da St., in Hanoi.
